2. Purpose of the Role #

The Malware Analyst is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and understanding malware, including threats such as bots, worms, and Trojans. This role involves advanced research, analysis, and development of capabilities related to malicious software. The Malware Analyst also works closely with the SOC to provide threat intelligence, assess the vulnerabilities of systems and applications, and support incident response efforts.
